Aim of Communications

Yente maintains the following aims in regard to communication to:

  • Contribute towards promoting women entrepreneurs and their activities in Yente's partner countries.
  • Contribute towards promoting the exchange of information among women entrepreneurs in Yente's partner countries.
  • Contribute towards promoting networks of women entrepreneurs in Yente's partner countries.
  • Provide information about the activities of Yente, MYente and their results.
  • Create support for Yente's activities and increase Yente's renown.
  • Engage Dutch and international funding and involve the business world in Yente's activities.
  • Acquire resources to support the foundation and her activities.

Code of Behaviour

Yente's values are an integral part of our activities that we share with our ambassadors, sponsors and partners.

  • We believe in reciprocity and equality and we remain neutral where religion and race are concerned.
  • We believe in solidarity and not in charity.
  • What drives us on is a strong inner feeling that all the riches generated in the world should be spread in a far more appropriate way among men and women, north and south.
  • We will continue our work until all men and women in the whole world are able to profit from equal opportunities on all levels.
  • We respect cultural differences and try to understand them so that we will attain synergy and diversity in everything that we undertake
  • We evaluate the value of our work according to the relevance of the results that we obtain.
  • We believe in being flexible and are prepared to adjust our approach should changing needs and circumstances require it.
  • We will always go the extra mile to increase the opportunities of our members.
  •  In our communications we do not compare ourselves to other fundraising organizations in the sense that Yente would be better.
  • We see to it that our information, whether written or oral, is never misleading
  • Yente sees to it that her fundraising in no way involves intimidating behaviour. Yente is aware that a donation is voluntary, even though it involves a written agreement.
  • Yente respects the privacy of all those who come into contact withthe organisation.
