Trade missions

Doing international business

One of the core activities of Yente is to establish business contacts between female entrepreneurs in The Netherlands and entrepreneurs in Austria and South-Africa, Peru and Bolivia, to stimulate this way the international business. By means of a successful trade mission in 2006 to South-Africa, Yente provided the evidence that trade missions are a very precious medium to stimulate international business. The encounter between the South-African and the Dutch female entrepreneurs, resulted in concretely concluded business transactions. It has lead as well to the access to new international markets in both directions. One year later, 20 entrepreneurs from South-Africa accepted the invitation of Yente to return the visit. A lot of the contacts which were established and renewed at that moment, evolved towards durable commercial relationships.

Trade mission to Latin-America

In 2008, Yente organized another international trade mission, this time with Peru for a destination. The participating Dutch women encountered almost 300 Peruvian and Bolivian female entrepreneurs, who came from all corners of the country to Lima or Arequipa. Their objective was to do business, to share insights and to exchange experiences. Yente welcomes at its turn, in October 2009, a delegation of Peruvian and Bolivian entrepreneurs. The preparations for still another new trade mission to South-Africa in 2010, have already started.
