The Yente Fund has been founded in collaboration with the Stichting Triodos Foundation, an international fund which stimulates social innovative developments via donations, aiming at a durable society. The Yente Fund has for a purpose to support projects of female entrepreneurs who are active in the segment of small and medium enterprises. This can be women who do not export yet or export only very little, but who dispose of the potential to evolve towards international entrepreneurship.
Over and over again, the connecting force of female entrepreneurs, seems to lead to initiatives which have the potential to evolve towards durable projects. With the support of the Yente Fund, it becomes possible to make these projects viable. These projects can contain a new training or research track, they can lead to product innovation or they can represent the first move of cooperation relationships or international business.
Precisely at the moment of these important development stages, the support of the Yente Fund can generate a decisive impulse. Also female entrepreneurs who have the objective to strengthen their existing network organization or who want to establish their proper network organization, can request theYente Fund to provide a support.
The Yente Fund is functioning as the ‘connecting link' for people and companies from The Netherlands, who intend to take some action and who want to convert their social involvement into concrete actions.
By providing a financial contribution to the Yente Fund, they help to grow female entrepreneurs in Peru, Bolivia, South-Africa, Kenya and Uganda.
A donation to the Yente Fund represents a well pointed support for female entrepreneurship in Latin-America. Every project with support from the Yente Fund, has been upfront examined in a profound way. In every case, it is about initiatives, aiming at development with a durable character.
The Yente Fund is being managed by the Stichting Triodos Foundation. Triodos Foundation has been acknowledged by the Tax Administration as an institute which aims the common interest (=Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling or ANBI). Donations to an ANBI are tax-deductible for the donors and can be collected by the ANBI without being subject of taxation. The Stichting Triodos Foundation manages the full amount of the donations in favor of the Yente Fund, without any form of expense deduction.
